Ogumilade Michael, the son of a petty trader and a security guard, faced financial struggles that cut short his education after secondary school. With hopes of tertiary education dashed, he returned to Lagos to learn a trade. Four years later, a chance encounter with an old classmate introduced him to IIT, where he gained admission to study Electromechanics through the revolving fund. Ogumilade completed his In-Company Training at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), graduated in August 2015, and now works as a technician at Rite Foods.
