Approval and Accreditation

The Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) received its license to operate as a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution from the Lagos State Ministry of Education on May 6, 2006. As a state-approved, private, not-for-profit educational institution, we were also allocated our present site under the administration of then Governor Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu—an affirmation of government’s commitment to quality TVET education in Nigeria.

We are deeply grateful to Dualtech Training Center (Philippines) and the Institut Européen de Coopération et Développement (France) for their invaluable contributions to the design and improvement of our curriculum. We also thank our staff, alumni, and industry partners—such as NAMPAK, Cummins, CFAO, and Schneider Electric—whose collaboration helped align our training with industry needs. Most importantly, we appreciate our trainees, whose constant feedback has enabled us to refine and strengthen our programmes.
